Hi everyone!
Wow - all those comments, thats amazing!
Well I'm quite happy at the moment as I have two weeks off for my easter hols ( the joys of being a student nurse!) I've really enjoyed my time on placement and look forward to returning there in a couple of weeks. I'm going to just generally work, rest and play and get the balance right at the same time! ( Not always easy) One thing I am going to do is go bowling as I won the ticket to go with five other people so now all I have to do is round up 5 others who are willing to come.
Anyway, enough of my blabbering. Will go now and play some music.. love you all lots x

Went to Hillsong London yesterday and thought we'd let you know how we got on.

It was a great day, caught the 8.00 am ferry and arrived at the Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Road at 11.00 am. We were greeted by many Hillsong welcome staff and the girls were signed in for Kids Church. The service started at 11.30 am with real high powered praise. The stage was full of high tech. equipment including 3 video screens which not only displayed the song words but gave video clips of all the weeks notices and forthcoming events. The Theatre was full and there was a real sense of God's presence in the building. Halfway through the girls left the building to go to a hotel just around the corner for Kids Church. We stayed in and listened to the leader speak on the subject of Confidence. The meeting ended with a couple of songs including a particular favourite of ours 'ONE WAY'. We were really made to feel welcome and although it was a huge venue there was a genuine sense of family. If you ever fancy a trip up to London on a Sunday they have 3 services a day, you need not even miss IOWCF in the morning.

All in all an excellent day.

Love

Ian and Paula

Hi Everyone, Just to say I went to Paul's session tonight - It was awesome. We talked about spiritual warfare - it was one of the best sessions I have heard on the subject. Inspiring and do-able. If any of you get a chance to come to these sessions I can really recommend it. They have really lifted my faith.

Totally agree with you there Matt. I was just about to say how encouraging it was to hear it. I went home afterwards, had some supper and slept for ten hours which is really cool because I sometimes have trouble sleeping ( not v often you understand!) So yeah, I recommend it to anyone who hasn't been yet...get the DVDs, watch them and GO!

Needs and Seeds
I STILL need some willing volunteers to help me for three hours this Sat morning (9th April) bless a much needed non-Christian family in Newport. Please join me in serving this family in a practical way.
I met this single mum and her family today, and it did not take long until we were chatting about " God stuff". I just know this is going to really bless them and be a real witness.
I do need some help though!!
If you can spare three hours painting, dropping off a ladder to the house for us to use, or doing a tip run please let me know ASAP. We will be working from 10am-1pm. My Number is 533710. Lets pray and believe that this family are going to be touched by God big time!!!

Eight Ways to Encourage Your Pastor

by Victor Parachin

Sometimes pastors are the loneliest people in
the church. Often their hours are long, the pay
minimal, the criticism considerable and constant.
Feelings of disappointment, discouragement, and
defeat may begin to plague the best of them.

Paul's admonition to "serve one another in love"
(Gal. 5:13 ) should encourage us to remember
our shepherds. Here are eight ways to make
their lives better.

1. Cut the criticism

Presbyterian minister Fred Rogers, creator
and host of television's "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood,"
once gave an address describing the time he
was a student at Pittsburgh Theological
Seminary and attended a different church
each Sunday in order to hear a variety of preachers.

One Sunday he was treated to "the most
poorly crafted sermon (he) had ever heard."
But when he turned to the friend who had
accompanied him, he found her in tears.

"It was exactly what I needed to hear," she
told Rogers.

"That's when I realized," he told his audience,
"that the space between someone doing the
best he or she can and someone in need is
holy ground. The Holy Spirit had transformed
that feeble sermon for her--and as it turned
out, for me too."

Unlike most workers who are evaluated once
or twice a year, clergy are often critiqued
weekly after each worship service. It's not
unusual to hear people say "the music was
poor," "the hymn selection was awful," or
"the sermon was boring." We would do well
to remember that most spiritual leaders work
hard to make worship a unique celebration
each week.

2. Pray regularly

Ask God to shower your pastor with an
abundance of love, hope, joy, faith, peace,
power, wisdom, and courage. Pray for your
spiritual leader's maturity and growth in the
faith. As you pray keep in mind this wisdom
from German writer Johann Wolfgang von
Goethe: "If you treat a person as he is,
he will stay as he is; but if you treat him
as if he were what he ought to be, he will
become what he ought to be and could be."

3. Express appreciation in writing

A spoken compliment is always welcome,
but a written one can be read over and over
again for years. So, when you hear or see
something you like from your minister,
write an appreciative note.

4. Use your skills to bless

Are you proficient with computers? Help your
pastor master the church's new computer. Are
you a mechanic? Offer to service the car free
of charge or at a reduced fee.

One pastor I know recalls: "I was pastoring
my first church -- a small congregation with
limited resources. While there, I developed
a series of dental problems and could not
afford treatment. What a joy it was when
a dentist in the church offered to treat me
for free. Correcting my dental problem involved
nearly a dozen visits. He treated me carefully
and cheerfully each time. I have thought of
that dentist many times since then and the
memories of his kindness continue to
bless my life."

5. Squelch gossip

If you hear a negative comment, respond
with a positive one. If misinformation is being
spread, correct it with the accurate information.
Or, if people are gossiping, just walk away.
Remember the Bible soundly condemns
gossip and careless speech. James 1:26
says, "If anyone considers himself religious
and yet does not keep a tight rein on his
tongue, he deceives himself and his religion
is worthless." And Psalm 34:13 reads, "Keep
your tongue from evil and your lips from
speaking lies."

6. Offer to meet a need

Some people make their spiritual leaders
defensive and angry by saying, "You
need to _" That approach is seldom
welcome and almost always counterproductive.
If you see a need, approach your spiritual
leader by saying, "I'd like to help by _" If
you see an area that can be improved, take
responsibility for working on it.

Be an active participant in your church. Get
involved by teaching a class, leading a workshop,
singing in the choir, feeding the hungry. Ask
your spiritual leader where and how you can
employ your gifts.

7. Be openly responsive

Nothing so animates and excites a spiritual
leader as seeing people respond to the preaching
and teaching. Imagine the surprise and delight
of a pastor in Virginia Beach, Virginia, who,
when greeting a visitor to his church, found
she came because of the kindness of a church
member who was her neighbor.

"I'm recently divorced, a single parent and new
to this community," she told the pastor. "To
keep up with rent and provide for my three
children, I must work two jobs. That leaves
me very little time for yard work. I was relieved
when the weeds didn't overrun my yard as I
had feared they might. However, when I made
an unscheduled trip home in the middle
of my workday, I discovered the reason why
the weeds had not taken over my yard.

"My 86-year-old neighbor -- a member of your
church -- was on his hands and knees pulling
my weeds. I barely knew this man and he was
embarrassed to be caught in this anonymous
act of kindness. He explained that he heard you
preach a sermon on the importance of living a
life of compassion and kindness and decided
to put that sermon into practice by weeding
my lawn."

One pastor's heart filled with joy when a group
of women in Washington, D.C., responded
to a sermon preached from the words of
Jesus--"Do not judge, or you too will
be judged" (Matt. 7:1). After hearing
the sermon, the women decided to give
a baby shower for the young woman who
provided childcare while they met for
Bible study. She was unmarried, close
to going on welfare, and without support
from her family or the father-to-be. The
young woman was moved to tears by
the surprise baby shower.

Later, the women explained to the pastor,
"Your sermon taught us that it's possible
to reach out to someone in need -- in this
case, an unwed mother -- without judging
or condoning the situation."

8. Throw away the measuring stick

Don't expect that your present spiritual
leaders will do things the same way their
predecessors did. Lay aside personal
agendas and preferences. Instead, focus
on how your leader is being used by God
to do effective ministry now. By serving
your shepherds, you will ensure that they
will not only be encouraged but will feel
appreciated and continue to minister with
enthusiasm and energy.

i'll keep you posted as to how i get on... for those who don't know - it's a fair trade business through mission thing. they make tiles, we show and tell them the good news through business principles and our relationships we build with them - and then we sell the tiles over here (have a look at www.bodj.co.uk).
this trip we're hoping to expand the range a bit and start supporting another couple of projects - one is an ironworks project run by lads from phnom penhs squatter village another one we are looking at is a basket weaving project - up north somewhere?? - and of course we're carrying on with the fantastic village of phum k'orm - who make the tiles ... i'll write again when i arrive - but in the meantime i'd really appreciate lots of prayer... ta, ced

Regarding Andy Stubbly Bits question on how long a sermon should be I suppose it depends on who is sermonising (Good word eh? )
If it was someone really interesting like Paul the apostle then it should go on all day.
But anyone else would do okay on five minutes and then thirty five of miracles. Amen and Amen.
Great site this with even greater potential.

Thank-you so much to all you lovely people who have sent get well cards its a real encouragement to know people are praying for me but after my visit to the doctor we definately need to keep it up! He says I've got early symptoms of Quinzey (is that right?)which is like severe tonsilitus. My throat is very swollen and blocked (and very painful) so he's put me on more antibiotics and signed me off work. Thing is I need to start getting better soon or hes threatening to admit me to St Mary's if I don't improve over the next few days! Luckily Chris is making a pretty good nurse and his Mum is only down the road and doing regular check ups. Thanks for offers to help out though!
By the way Anna we live at Five Rocks Lodge Blackgang - Haylands was where Chris lived with Dave and Guy a couple of years ago!! Never mind we all know each other in Niton so someone passed it on!! Hopefully see you all at church soon :) .x.

OPPS sorry about that Charlotte. I went to the effort of replacing Chris's old address in Niton with your current address into our church directory...I then obvioulsy sent the card still to the old address....must of been half asleep! Glad Niton is a small village, and that you still got the card!
Sorry to hear that you are still not well.....will keep praying. You don't want to end up in St Mary's hospital...I hear they have some very dodgy Nurses. (especially on Whippingham ward) Lots of Love Mexox :-)

Coombes view.
Again good service,6/02, which included the younger members. Good idea, Wendy! Perhaps could even extend to older members, so the youngsters don't feel singled out and it's more family-orientated, as opposed to "give the kids something to do" just to keep them quiet!

Shilla and Ngarai were awesome this morning. Also feel like I want to respond to what Paul said about finding scriptures that relate to whatever we are going through. How about we make a deal this week to all get one scripture that we need to lay hold of for our own life and start putting a bit of faith to work in that area.

At 7:20 PM, February 20, 2005,   Blogger Dave S. said...

I thought this mornings worship was awesome, (took me back to the Lion King!) It was a different spirit, passionate and refreshing. Bless you guys keep going. What Paul said was practical and applicable - inspiring stuff.

Started Sunday with nice cup of coffeee ( half a spoon of sugar )
and then shivered on down the road to church.
It was well worth a good teeth rattling.
Worship was excellent, Matt brought an absolute spot on word and then Paul wrapped it up with a word to inspire. Praise God.
Went back home had another cup of coffee ( half a spoon of sugar ) Praise God for coffee and sugar.
Decided on proverbs 31 as my faith scriptures of the week.
( only kidding )
God bless you all brilliant site.
Away for a coffee ( half a spoon of sugar)
Bye.

Hi guys,
I just had to write in here as I haven't done for a while, and this Sunday's service was amazing. Wendy, you did an amazing job standing up there and preaching - yes you were preaching. Its certainly given me a lot to think about and I'd urge anyone who wasn't there to see the animated tale of Jonah and the whale(!), to get the tape and listen to Wendys personal testimony. Believe me, it'll give you something to chew on for the week.
So well done Wend. When can we expect another sermon?

Can definetely say that Sunday's service ( July 31st) was very different to any I have ever experienced before, but it was great. Really enjoyed the crazy games and was so glad that I didn't volunteer for yolk choke as I very nearly did. Thankyou Matt for the games as I believe you were the inspiration behind them. Good stuff and I look forward to the next 'open air' Sunday, probably next year now.

Looking around, people sharing real-life issues, I saw Bible in action - wonderful. Perhaps they should consider their name as what they shared was highly relevant, not only for youth, what about AFC, All For Christ?! Well done YFC Team!! Maarten.

Hi guys. We have heard some tragic news this morning. Some of you may remember John Fasham who was at church and the youth cell last year. Also known as ...."Dr John". Was a house officer at St Mary's. We got to know him well, and have stayed in touch. He began a new placement in NZ late last year.
We have just heard that he has been tragically killed in a diving accident yesterday, whilst on holiday with some friends. We would really appreciate prayers for all his family, as they deal with such tragic circumstances. He was only 25yrs old.

Hi Guys!

It's great to hear all the excellent stuff that's going on in Youth Cell(even if it does involve eating cheese cake - we wish we where younger and could come along too!).

We would really appreciate your prayers at this time because we are looking into going to Hillsong for a year next January, 2006 to do a Worship course.

With 3 children, raising the cash and leaving our jobs for a year there's alot to sort out!

We see this as a fantastic opportunity to grow in God, deepen our relationship with him and be better equipped to serve the Church.

Thanks loads

At 9:54 PM, March 02, 2005,   Blogger Chloe said...

Hi Ian and Paula,
Wow - I had no idea you were thinking of going to Hillsong. I will be praying for you as its a big decision to make. One of my fave verses is Rev 3:7 and I look at it each time a decision has to be made in my own life. If God wants it to happen, it will and ultimately if he doesn't, it won't. He'll 'open the doors' or 'close them' as the case may be. Obviously, you have to play your part, make the enquiries etc. but at the end of the day, God decides. Will definetely pray for you.
On the subject of decision making would really appreciate it if you could all pray that the right decision is made about me transferring to mental health nursing as opposed to adult nursing. I'm on the adult branch at the mo but have applied to do mental health in the second year. I really want to do what is right for me, I think I would enjoy both. So yeah, pray that the best thing for me happens really when all's said and done xx

Just found this site while looking up my brother's name. He was John Fasham (Dr John) who I'm sure many of you know tragically died a month ago. Thanks for the prayers, they are much needed and much appreciated.
God Bless,

At 11:55 PM, March 12, 2005,   Blogger Matt Green said...

Hi Philip, Thanks for your message. John was part of the church here while posted on the Island. As was his way he made friends with a number of us and came back to visit a number of times after leaving. The last time I saw him, he came to stay for a weekend and turned up with his mountain board and managed to get me covered in bruises by the end of the day. My wife is from New Zealand so we spent a lot of time talking about his trip there. It was a privelege to meet John and we feel robbed of the years of friendship that lay ahead. We managed to make it to the funeral and just want to say what a wonderful reflection of Johns life it was -We are still praying for you guys.

At 4:18 PM, March 16, 2005,   Blogger Chloe said...

Hi guys,
Thanks for leaving a comment Philip. I knew John too and he was a really nice guy - always the life and soul of the party. I have many happy memories of the things that he did and that is how you have to remember someone. One includes an adventure down Whale Chine ( near Chale)
Anyway, I have a prayer request. Well not for me personally but for a pen pal. He lives in Africa and wants to come to England but needs a visa. All we can do is pray at this time that God will do what he wants to do. So if you could get praying that would be excellent. His name's Paul.
Thankyou x

This is for me! Recently I've been a little stressed, got lots of work on, lots on my mind. I'm nearing the end of my holidays and could really do with another week off! I have talked to my CPN ( community psychiatric nurse) and she's given me some good advice.

So I just need a general blessing really, lots of strength, lots of joy and peace!!
Cheers xx

Hi everyone,
Some of you may remember the Rudge family who used to come to the fellowship. Sally Rudge had an accident on Monday whilst riding the horse. She broke her back and was rushed to hospital where the family were initially told she may not walk again. However the doctors have since discovered the spinal cord is not severed as they thought, and so God has already started his healing over her. She remains in Intensive Care however and is on a ventilator because of a chest infection. We need to pray for the miraculous to happen. God can and will do it - we've got to pray.
Thanks,
Chloe x

At 10:02 PM, November 16, 2005,   Anonymous Shilla said...

Amen to that, Chloe. We thank God for doctors but they don't have the final say. Our God can do the seemingly impossible. Is anything too hard for the Lord? Let's continue to fix our eyes on Jesus and not on the diagnosis. Let's keep on praying and believing God for Sally's complete healing. We need to be praying for Craig as well. I met Norma at the hospital yesterday and she told me that Craig was in MAU. Let's believe God for Craig's healing. God bless you all. Shilla.

That is fantastic!!
C'mon guys, it doesn't have to be BIG things that get a mention. What about the every day small things that God gives us? Like a home to live in, bed to sleep in, food to eat etc...
And what might seem an insignificant small answer to one person, may not to another. We're all different. You need to see the BIG picture.
Lets get blogging.
I'll give you an example. I am off placement today due to a cough which I don't really want to spread around ( and I got 2 hrs sleep the previous night) and yet God has given me the strength to cope with the day.

Chloe you are a real encouragement! I guess I've been really reassured this week that God has got EVERY situation that I face taken care of. Brilliant stuff you minor miracle workers.
Please know you are more appreciated than you realise.
If you could see the relief of pressure on some of the mother's faces when the youngsters go out just to have time to sing and hear the word for an hour or three.
I know sometimes it seems everlasting for some of you workers out there but God bless you and He sees what you are doing and He wil bless you in return.
And we will pray that His blessings come quickly.

Has anyone read 'THE LOST MESSAGE OF JESUS' by Steve Chalke/Alan Mann (Zondervan)?
The challenge of this book is put to one side our preconceptions of Jesus' gospel message and get back to the first century situation and consider the impact his message would have had on his hearers. His message was radical, uncomfortable for the religious establishment and immensely popular with the poor. Since then has the church blunted this radical edge of Jesus' message so that it is no longer perceived as 'good news' by those outside the church? There are interesting insights into entering the kingdom, repentence and salvation. The section on violence and war is very thought provoking. The last chapter on the cross/resurrection is probably the most controversial and makes some good points but I think ignores much of what the apostles taught about the cross in the epistles. What does anyone else think?

At 7:26 PM, February 08, 2005,   Blogger Matt Green said...

Not read it but I have wondered myself if Jesus would have been a welcome guest in our version of church or whether he would have been considered a bit of a trouble maker. I reckon anyone who starts throwing tables around during a service is bound to be considered a bit of a nuisance!

Sounds challenging

An entertaining book with similar themes is "The Church Invisible" by Nick Page. The author is supposedly catapulted into the future having been struck by lightning. The church has become obsolete through irrelevence. Very funny in places with a sci-fi emphasis as the reasons why this has happened are discussed.

Found this on the web and would like comments
Since neither Biblical nor scientific evidence is offered for the key premise of Theophostics, there is no reason to take it seriously. In my many years of writing articles about various teachings that come through the church, rarely have I come across a teaching as convoluted and unbiblical as this one. Frankly, there is good reason to doubt that the experiences that people are having in Theophostics are from God. In these experiences they gain special revelations supposedly from the Holy Spirit about the meaning of childhood memories. They may be real experiences, but they are invoked under such unbiblical auspices that they should be considered dangerous. Theophostics is a process for gaining mystical experiences that promise freedom from sorrows now. The Bible does not promise freedom from all emotional pain in this life. Theophostics does. The Bible gives us the gospel as the only way for salvation and the sanctifying process that occurs afterwards. Giving up the Biblical means of grace and the command to struggle against sin for the empty promise of a “struggle-free, maintenance free, pain free” life now is trading one’s eternal hope through the gospel for a mystical experience that has nothing to do with the gospel or true sanctification. Such a trade is a very bad deal indeed.

I haven't been through the theophostics training course so couldn't comment, but up to now I have only heard positive things about it. This article does make it sound a little like regression therapy where people are taken back to childhood memories. Would be good to hear from someone who is actively using theophostic ministry or has even been through it.

Calling all teenage girls!!!

Through my teenage years I read a book called 'Soul Sista' by Beth Redman ( Matt Redman's wife)

I'm telling you, this was practically my bible at any time. It covers a range of topics including boys, friends, image, worship, bible and prayer, evangelism etc... If you haven't read it and your aged between roughly 14-17ish I would recommend it.
I've read it recently and I'm 20 but the main points, the bible bits are still worth the read.

So pick it up, if anyone wants to borrow my copy I don't mind lending it to them.

Hi guys,
I guess it's about time I write something on here, I visit when I can (I don't have a computer at home!) but haven't yet left a blog...well I guessit's about time I did!!!

Wanted to share with anyone that's intersted about a worship conference that Allie and I went to at Hillsong London recently. It was amazing, the teaching was very challenging and the times of worship were just awesome! Unlike you'd probably expect it wasn't all about music! One of the main messages was about worship being an attitude and a lifestyle, music is a very samll part of our worship to God. I love these guys, they're not afraid to to it big and loud, they don't throw out 'quality' in the name of 'humility', but at the same time they challenge your heart to the core. They want to demonstrate to the world that God is REALLY an AWESOME God, that He is still majorly relevant to the people of today. I know both Allie and I felt challenged and encouraged to just live more for God and His purposes. I'd love to see God have His way in our church and on the Island but it's going to take commitment and sacrifice on our parts, are we willing? I'm praying that God will help me to be cos I know sometimes I'm more willing than others, but I know with His help and by Him alone we can see great things happen on this Island and see those that don't yet know God come to know Him - as he REALLY is.

Next year the worship conference will be integrated with a leadership conference (and that's not just for those in recognised positions of leadership either!), I know that it's going to be a really amazing time and I'm excited already. I'm not up for conferences for conference sake but if they're going to spur us on and encourage and challenge us to think outside of our boxes then that's a good way to spend a few days of the year I reckon! If you're interested then let me know, there aren't any dates set as yet as they're looking for a venue big enough - what a great problem to have!!!

Praise God, He can do more than we'll even dare to imagine.

PS I thank God for the Isle of Wight Christian Fellowship :)

Honestly prophecy is one of the most difficult gifts of the spirit for me to understand. Personally there is no way that I am going to tell God what he is and is not capable of...as a church, meaning body of believers, if we try to limit God we have the potential of missing out on blessings. What I have a difficult time understanding is how prophecy is seperate from fortune telling. If you look in the Bible prophecy was usually used as a warning so people could change their behaviors. With that being said I feel like prophecy is a gift that has been abused (like so many other spiritual gifts). I have had friends that have been prayed over being told that they are going to meet the man of their dreams and that they are going to have lots and lots of babies. I don't see how that is any different then fortune telling.

My question is what is the difference? When have you seen it used properly?

Great idea, this blog thing. Bless you, Matt. Tino and I have quite a number of christian resources which we would like to share with members of the IOWCF. There is a mixture of books, Cds, audio tapes, VHS videos and DVDs covering a wide range of topics. We have a list of the items and titles in stock. If anyone is interested maybe they could talk to us after church on Sunday or even phone, e-mail, fax; whatever. We have found these items extremely useful and believe many people can benefit from using them. Because we would like as many people as possible to use these resources, we can only lend them for a set period of time and we are going to be quite strict. If someone needs to keep an item beyond the agreed loan period, they should at least check with us first to see if no one else is waiting for that item. We intend to operate this along the lines of a Christian library. The only difference is that we are not going to charge anything. Our desire is to see the body of Christ well-prepared and fully equipped to fight the good fight of faith. We will send a full list of the items to Matt & Anna by e-mail. We hope to bring the list to church on Sunday as well for the benefit of those who are not yet using this blog site. God bless you all.

PRAYER AGENDA 15/05/05

For the benefit of anyone who wasn't present at church today, here is a list of the things we prayed about morning. God bless you. Shilla.

PRAYER AGENDA 15/05/05

1. Confession and Repentance

2 Chr 7:14 1John 1:9

We need to humbly come before the Lord and acknowledge that as a church our hearts have grown cold towards Him.

We have enjoyed doing things for God more than we have desired to spend time with Him.

We have filled our lives with programs and activities, some of which look godly, but we have not spent enough time with the God of those activities.

We want to pray according to Psalm 51 and ask God to create clean hearts in us.

May He renew the right spirit within us. May He restore to us the joy of our salvation.

May He purge us, cleanse us and heal our backslidden hearts.

May He awaken our zeal and create holy hunger in us.

May we begin to love, enjoy and look forward to spending time with Him individually and corporately.

We need to pray against the spirit of apathy.

May God anoint us with the spirit of prayer, supplication and intercession.

2. Unity

John 17:20 Acts 2:1-2 Acts 2:42-47

God blesses unity.
Pray for unity within the church.

That God may supernaturally knit our hearts together.

That we may feel for one another.

That we may bear one another’s burdens.

That we may be in one accord.

We want every wall of division to come down.

We want to pray against the spirits of division, discord, jealousy, ungodly competition, envy, clichés, factions etc

3. Love

John 13:35 1Cor 13:1-8

Pray that we may begin to walk in and to demonstrate Christ-like love.

That all past hurts may be healed.

That we may walk in forgiveness and that we may learn to freely forgive just as we have been freely forgiven.

That we may be aware of the enemy’s tactics.

That suspicions will go, that there may be trust and that we may be comfortable around each other.

That a sweet spirit may prevail.

4. Leaders

1Timothy 2: 1-2

Pastor Paul, Yvonne, Ryan and Tiffany

Pray for their protection as a family.

Pray that God would bless them with good health and that He would meet their every need.

We need to thank God for healing Yvonne.

Pray that God would clarify the vision that He has shown Pastor Paul.

Pray that God would give him the grace to walk in that vision and not to depart from it.

May the Lord truly order our Pastor’s steps.

Pray that God would give our leaders increased revelation and wisdom.

We need to pray that as a church we would continue to stand with our Pastor.

May God reveal to us ways in which we can encourage our leaders and be a blessing to them.

May God teach us how to humble ourselves and to be ‘trainable’.

We need to pray against the spirit of rebellion .

Pray for Steve, Claire, Matt, Anna, Mike, Karen, Keith, Pat, all in the pastoral care team, board of Trustees, every other leader and their families. (You may refer to Church directory for specific names).

5. Other issues

Pray for other things as the spirit leads.

GOD BLESS YOU.

Dear moderatos, I'm sorry if I've written in the wrong theme. Please, don't delete my post and move it in the proper section.
Day after day, minute after minute people keep feeing negative emotions ("NEs"): jealousy, pity, fear, anger, irritation, discontent, resentment, rage, perplexity, insult, malice, envy, anxiety, uneasiness, contempt, disgust, shame, revengefulness, apathy, indolence, grief, melancholy, disappointment, greed etc.

Is freedom from NEs possible? People are stuck in them so hopelessly that even the very idea of having freedom from NEs irritates them. When they imagine themselves without NEs, it perplexes them to think how it is possible to live without them. They believe that without NEs they would turn into a dead unfeeling thing. They are so addicted to NEs that they cannot even imagine something besides them, although many people had short outbursts of weak EPs, especially in the early childhood.
This is a citation. I suggest reading about it ( http://bodhi.ru/samadhi/for/eng/01001-eng.htm ) and express your opinion. If you don't speak English then choose your language here - http://bodhi.ru/ . On this page there's email where you can send your questions and wishes.
